Paulicon Corporation has been working with industry leaders in projects of mission critical data center, renewable energy, and construction since 1997.
It worked for a portfolio of projects that utilize integrated renewable components of fuel cells, solar plant with lithium-ion storage, that provided electricity to offset the base load. On design, it works as engineer of record, overseeing the design and interaction with product groups. On permit, it works with plan checkers and building inspectors. On construction, it works with GC, subs, and building inspectors and customer PM.
The team has superb people, communication and technical skill in leading complex projects. It serves as savvy negotiator for contracts with clients and subcontractors.
The team members have led multiple projects and designs, and accomplished >10 large data centers, >50 MW of fuel cell projects, >200 MW of Solar, >50MW of Lithium-ion battery, customers include hospitals, biopharmaceutical, school district, leading Cloud data centers (Equinix, Digital Realty, Apple, Intel, Kaiser Permanente, Walmart). It has completed utility scale solar projects with major utilities companies in the nation, including PG&E, CAISO, SCE, NationalGrid, ConEd, NYG&E, NV Utility, Rocky Mountain Power, APS.
Its hands-on technical expertise includes weaving each subject into one system, regardless of how deep it requires for a witness commission, coordination study, deployment of substation and micro distribution center of fuel cells, solar and battery, backup system with battery UPS and generators, SCADA of power systems, data acquisition of real time monitoring. The underlayment has a theme of simplicity and elegance.
The integrated approach applies to its organic view of structural, civil and electrical engineering growing with each other, no topic of concrete, steel structure, roofing, cooling systems with HVAC and chiller, energy efficient design, Title 24 are separate with each other.
For this philosophy, it has maintained a unique partnership with well-respected master electricians, architects, professional engineers, CAD drafters, subcontractors of trades. These are not big name brand groups but field proven with hands-on experience.
This explains the drastic mix from taking projects as licensed professional engineer, licensed electrical contractor, licensed general building of commercial and residential, and real estate development projects as a licensed real estate broker, whenever it sees the underlying value.
The very in-depth capacity of its analytical work comes as necessary means to complete the project, but not ends, though it is disguised in many fancy technical terms, namely, Higgs Boson search, solar production analysis using PVsyst, Grounding analysis of substation and collector plant, load flow study, arc flash of AC/DC, short circuit analysis, coordination studies of overcurrent protection, relay programming, high power electrical design for robotics, hydrogen and oxygen fuel cell, and our latest focus, AI and IoT. The means come and go, but our goal remains to make complex system fun and simple.
